Mountain Horseback Riding
Plus Rodeo

The Diamond
'P' Ranch is located just two miles from the Continental Divide and
Idaho
and seven miles from the west entrance of Yellowstone National
Park. Views of mountains, meadows, and wooded hills
dominate the landscape. Highway 20 actually passes through this huge
ranch! The ranch's barns and corrals are located about 1/4 of a mile
north of the highway and the Wild West Yellowstone Rodeo
is conducted, three days a week, on the south side of the highway.

The Wild West Yellowstone Rodeo is a
full fledged competition
rodeo. For a fantastic experience, we
highly recommend taking the Diamond P Ranch's half-day afternoon ride,
find a good place to eat, (there are places to eat
within three miles of the Diamond P Ranch) and then
attend this great rodeo. They have your favorite rodeo events
include Bareback Bronc Riding, Barrel
Racing, Bull Riding, Team Roping, Breakaway Roping, Saddle Bronc
Riding, and even an event where kids get to compete, a calf scramble!
When they can work it into their schedule, some of the Diamond P
Ranch's
guides and wranglers actually compete in this rodeo!
Hey! To make
sure you will have a seat, rodeo tickets are available on-line at:

When
not at the rodeo grounds the bucking horses, bulls, and roping cattle
are pastured on the meadows of the Diamond P Ranch. Some of our daily horseback tours actually ride among the rodeo stock as they work
their way up into the mountains.
(The
rodeo is a great photo opportunity!)

The
men of the Angell family, who own the Halo Ranch Outfitters and
operate the Diamond P Ranch were all
professional saddle bronc riders at one time but most of them
have "hung it up". Some of these "old bronc riders" are
still team ropers and in their spare time they train team roping
horses to sell. Do you know of anyone who needs a team roping
horse?
