Guided Horseback Rides in the mountains, meadows, and by the lakes and streams, of Yellowstone Country.
Steep mountain trails as well as more casual rides in the meadows are available. Wildlife such as moose, coyotes, soaring eagles, and much, much more can be observed on these rides. Everyone is welcome on our  horseback rides. No experience is necessary, and and we love families!

ATTENTION!
The Halo Ranch Outfitters will be conducting some of their horseback riding experiences at the Diamond "P" Ranch near West Yellowstone!  If you're not real enthused about  spending 3-6 hours on your horseback riding adventure, and would like a great, but shorter ride, then ask about the Diamond "P" Ranch when making your reservation!
                                                                                                 

 

 

Some of rides will start at the Eagle Ridge Ranch in Island Park and journey back into the beautiful Centennial Mountains

The Halo Ranch Outfitters have 45 head of saddle horses to choose from! There are horses for whatever your ability, including no experience at all!
SEASON: Starts as soon as the snow is melted in the spring-- lasts until the trails are snow covered in the fall. (usually early October)
RIDES AVAILABLE: All horseback rides are destination type rides. There will be a high mountain ride available and there will be  meadow/lake rides which include meadows, lakes, streams, and forest areas. The length of all these rides differ, depending on: how much wildlife guests are photographing, and how fast a pace the group chooses to travel.

All wranglers and guides who work for the Halo Ranch Outfitters are licensed in Idaho and Montana by the State Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board

It's not a regular happening, but sometimes cattle are moved from pasture to pasture.  Those guests with enough horseback riding experience to handle it, are welcome to join in and help
