         HORSEBACK RIDE/CHUCKWAGON SUPPER

The Diamond 'P' Ranch is located just two miles from the Continental Divide and seven miles from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park.  Views of mountains, meadows, and wooded hills dominate the landscape.  Nestled in the trees, on the far east border of the ranch is the Yellowstone KOA; this beautiful campground has all the comforts and amenities you could ask for from a campground including a pool, cabins, and chuck wagon suppers

On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays the guides and wranglers from the Diamond 'P' Ranch team with the cooks of the the Yellowstone KOA and offer a fantastic two hour horseback ride followed by a succulent chuckwagon supper!

Guests  meet at the barn and corrals of the Diamond 'P' Ranch at 5:00 p.m.. Release forms are signed, the guides provide a short course in horsemanship, the guests and horses are matched according to their size and experience riding horses, and the group heads for the mountains.

There is no specific trail; the guide will take guests across the meadows, working their way over the streams and through the grazing cattle and horses as they travel back into the heavy forested portion of the Gallatin National Forest. The rides are among the most scenic in the world! Wildlife, wild flowers, mountain streams and the surrounding forests make this adventure a memorable one.

After getting back to the barn, guests will say goodbye to their horses, climb on a wagon and follow an old historic stage coach trail to the location of a fantastic chuckwagon supper! At times, if the guests so desire, one of the guides will bring his guitar and we'll sing together a couple of the old favorites.
